Aunty Jane Booking and Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing Aunty Jane. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible, and high-quality healthcare services. Please read our Booking and Cancellation Policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities when booking with us.
1. Purpose
These Booking and Cancellation Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") apply when you make an appointment for a clinical consultation or procedure with AUNTY JANE PTY LTD (ABN 56682093312), trading as Aunty Jane or Aunty Jane Health ("we", "us", "our"). By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms.
2. Booking Process
Booking your appointment is easy:

Submit a booking enquiry through our website, selecting your preferred date and time and providing your contact details.

We will provide you with an estimated out-of-pocket cost for the service.

A Booking Fee must be paid to confirm your appointment.

Once confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email. We may contact you by phone if necessary to finalise the booking.
3. Booking Fee

A non-refundable Booking Fee is required to confirm your appointment. This fee covers administrative costs and preparation for your service.

Details of the Booking Fee amount will be provided during the booking process.
4. Service Pricing

You will receive a preliminary estimate of the total service cost, including:

Service Fee for the consultation or procedure.

Applicable rebates or discounts.
-
The final out-of-pocket cost, adjusted for the Booking Fee.

Please note that the final amount may vary depending on your health insurance or Medicare eligibility. This estimate is not a binding quote.
5. Telehealth Abortion Services
For medical abortion services via telehealth:

You will first complete two virtual clinical assessment with a Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, or Endorsed Midwife (Consult 1 & Consult 2) prior to receiving your medical abortion medication.

If suitable, your medication will be sent by courier to your postal address.

The Service Fee is paid in three parts:

Part 1: Booking Fee before the first consultation.

Part 2: Booking Fee and Admin Fee before the second consultation.

Part 3: Pharmacy Fee after the second consultation and prior to dispatch.

You can reschedule by contacting two (2) business days in advance. Less notice may incur a $50 rescheduling fee.

Missing your appointment after three contact attempts will require repayment of the Booking Fee to reschedule.

If you cancel or miss the second consultation, any purchased products (LSUP or Ten Machine Hire) will be refund at the purchase amount. The remaining Service Fee is non-refundable.
6. Clinical Eligibility

It is the clients responsibility to assess preliminary eligibility using Medical Abortion Eligibility Quiz.

Your clinical eligibility will be assessed formally during your first consultation.

Completion of the Eligibility Quiz does not guarantee suitability. Final eligibility is determined by the clinician during your consultation.

If you are not eligible, we will discuss alternative care options or referrals.

The Booking Fee is non-refundable if you are found ineligible, as it covers pre-assessment costs.
7. Rescheduling, Cancellations, and Refunds
Rescheduling:

Reschedule two (2) business days in advance. Less notice may forfeit the Booking Fee, and a new fee may apply.

In exceptional circumstances, we may offer a Discretionary Refund.
Cancellations by Aunty Jane:

If we cancel your appointment, you may:

Reschedule your appointment, or
-
Receive a full refund of the Booking Fee and any pre-paid Service Fee amounts.

Refunds:

Overpaid Booking Fees will be refunded.
-
If your private health rebate is returned to us, it will be refunded to you.

Discretionary Refunds may be offered in cases of financial hardship or special circumstances.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded. If legally required, our liability for services is limited to re-supplying the service or covering the cost of re-supply.
9. Privacy

10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will apply to all new bookings. We encourage you to keep a copy of the Terms after booking.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be handled by the courts in Queensland.
