In Australia, most international visitors are required to have private health insurance:

• OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) – compulsory for people on student visas.

• OVHC (Overseas Visitor Health Cover) – required for many migrant workers, working holiday makers, and temporary visa holders.

When you access care at Aunty Jane, we use Medicare-billable item numbers. If you hold OSHC or OVHC, you can claim back with rebate with your insurer for the portion of your care that would normally be covered by Medicare. This can include a proportion of costs associated with consultations, pathology, and medication. You simply pay upfront and then submit your invoice to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
